Busy morning for all.

Friday 27th November
Real early start, Stuart took himself to the 5.30am hydrotherapy session at WWBH with Marcus. Followed by a stretching appointment at 7'ish, working on his gluts and hamstrings.
I also was up and about early getting ready to leave for my annual BWW cycling weekend at Ovens, near Myrtleford.
Iain too was getting ready to go away, he was off to Canberra and then on to Adelaide for a 5 day level one coaching course.
We were leaving Stuart, Amy and Maggie to fend for themselves for the weekend. Am hoping "muscles" would keep an eye on them.

Drove myself to physio

Thursday the 26th November

Drove myself to the physio this morning. Had a good session and nice to get there myself. My legs were a bit inclined to spasm today. Amy came along for the ride to check on my progress.

Quiet afternoon watching the cricket. Nandi and Pa were in town and called around for tea. They think I am a bit thin....Pa reckons I might have worms!!! We had a lovely evening, had our first meal inside as it was rather wet and wild. Pa was most impressed with the old Henry ford. Just good to have something that goes and that I am allowed to drive.
Had a call from Work Options, Wagga Wagga who are going to be helping me with my return to work. We are going to have a meeting early next week.

The Telstra is mobile

Wednesday 25th November
Amy was on physio delivery duty today. We then went and got a battery for the car on the way home.
Aunty Noreen, Paul and Kathy came for lunch. Was good to see them and Paul helped me put the battery into the Telstra and she goes. Yippee, I am on the road. Am going to go down to watch the track cycling tonight after tea.

Track was good caught up with a lot of people, got a friend to push me up the first hill. Once up there I was able to roll along to grass to where Dad was sitting. Hopefully next time I will be able to walk up there. It was Dad's first night track racing this season. He survived finishing all 4 races without incident, glory or prize money. Next time Dad!

Have got a car....but the battery is flat

Tuesday 24th November

The girls took me to physio today. Another good session with Marcus. Did some balance stuff on a small trampoline again.
We then got a few more things to make storing my clothes, shoes etc a little easier.
Spent some time in the afternoon working on my remote control car.
Dad came home with some wheels for me. Steve Marks has lent me a ford Telstra. Unfortunately the battery was flat, well buggered, but it will be good to drive again and be independent. Thanks a lot Steve you have no idea how much this means.

Ramps installed

Monday 23rd November

Physio with Marcus at 9, early start for all. His first appointment on his recovery road at home. No time for a holiday!! Stuart did some new things today with Marcus. Tried balancing on a mini trampoline. It was hard to keep his balance and his legs fatigued pretty quickly and kept going into spasms.
We then went and did some shopping. Bins and storage boxes for the bathroom.
Had a drive by a caryard and then had a sit in a car. Stuart said it felt good.
Most exciting thing today was the installation of the ramps in the courtyard. Did not take very long and has made such a difference for Stuart, just so much easier to get in and out and he will not destroy the sliding doors as he pulls himself in and out of the house.

Stuart heading off to physio with his crutches on his knee.

My first swim at Kauri Place.

Sunday 22nd November
Quiet start to the morning, lots of washing for me to do.
We then went to catch up with Amy and Jess who had gone to a MTB skills fun day at Pomingalarna Reserve. It was rather hot and steamy. Stuart walked cross country with his crutches to the demo/ skills area. Lots of his mates were there.

Sunday arvo Iain and Stuart got the new pool gate up and operational.

Means that he can get into the pool yard in his chair and then onto the deck and splash into the pool.

Tim and Steph joined us for tea and then they had a swim.
Went for a drive in Tim's Forrester, Stuart was pretty impressed.....

The road trip home.

Saturday 21st November
We had packed as much of Stuart's gear into the car yesterday, so there was not to much to do. We did still have a lot of gear, shower stools, padded toilet seat, the remote control car and it's bits, the Tool Box, etc etc. We were beginning to wonder if and where we would fit our Amy and her stuff. Stuart then did a roll around to say good bye to those he had made friends with over the last 6 months at RNS and Moorong. It was tough saying farewell to some of them, they have all had such different journeys and have shared so much along the way. The highs and the lows.

We hit the road at about 9.30 and took the scenic route along the coast through the National Park to the "Gong". It was just beautiful, never seen so many black boys and grasses along the road side. Were at the Uni to collect Amy and her bits by 11.30. With some very careful packing and organizing we got most of the gear into the car. Only had to leave a few bits behind. And luckily she was able to store her frig, cooking equipment and bedding with some friends.

After Amy said her farewells we went and had lunch with Tom and Marg Dawson before hitting the road. We had an uneventful drive home and sat down to dinner with Maggie and Jess by 8pm. Was just good to be home and have the troops altogether. The next stage of Stuart's journey is about to begin.

Last Day!!!

Friday 20th November
Liked being in the transition room. Have not been on my own for most of the 6 months. Can have the radio on triple J!!!!
Mum and Dad found me in physio trying out new piece of equipment. Using the FES to stimulate my muscles and also connected to a special exercise bike which fired the muscles needed to cycle in the correct order. It worked really well.
Went down to Putney shops for lunch and then went over to RNS to say our good byes.

Will be 24 weeks tomorrow since Stuart's accident. He has made a remarkable recovery, all so very pleased with his progress over that time. So many people were involved in Stuart's recovery. Starting with ...who found him on the side of the road near Wantabadgery, the ambulance officers, staff in A & E at WWBH, the air retrieval team. Then the orthopeadic surgeon and his team did there bit and the staff on 7D- the spinal team (Drs, nurses, wardsmen , surgical dressers etc) social workers, OT's and physios. To name you all would be impossible but thanks for your professional care and support to all of us over the last 6 months. It has been quite a journey, one that we have all taken at short notice. A big thanks to our also to our friends , family and work mates for your care and support as well as reading this blog over the last few months. Thanks so much for sharing our journey
We went to the local Bowling Club for tea with Allison and her sister Sally, Rob and his parents. We had a lovely meal and left the young ones at about 9pm

5 more sleeps

Thursday 19th November

More test early this morning, did a 6 Minute walk test and 6 minute push test. I'm not sure how far I walked as the physio was really busy, to get to me, but I did manage 10 laps around the basketball court and my leg was really jumpy after my walk test which did hinder me pushing. Had a hydro session this morning with Holly (aka Water dragon) she got me jumping in the pool which is something that I've struggled for to do but I managed it today. Maybe it was her pushing me really hard even got some star jumps. I know I'll sleep well after it tonight!

I ducked up to the RTA after lunch today. I caught a cab and it turned out just up the hill from the Center. After a few phone calls they got the required paper work to approve my licence. So now after 6 months I finally have an unrestricted licence again! I was really happy to have it back that I chose to roll back down the hill to Moorong. Only took me about 20 minutes to get there but I did have to negotiate a few roadworks which make it hard at times. This evening I'm going to head to the bowling club with Rob again and have a few beers for my second last night in hospital! Not long now.

Wednesday 18th November

Moved rooms this morning. There was quite a shuffle of patients and I went into the transition room, ready for discharge on Saturday. Has be good really as it meant that I had to go through my stuff here and pack it up a bit. There is a living room with a TV, a small kitchen with a microwave, fridge and sink. I'll get a chance to do the dishes which actually I'm looking forward to doing... It also has a big stereo which I can play Triple J as loud as I want as there are no other patients to winge about it.

Also getting my equipment for home sorted. Have my splint for my right leg, padded toilet seat and a shower chair. Also the ramps to get into the house have been approved so they should be in soon which will make access so much better.

Did my last tennis session this arvo. I actually hit the ball really well this time, I will have to look into it here in Wagga. Also got in contact to someone from disabled skiing Australia who sent me some information on skiing dates around NSW. I can't wait to get out and about again.

Had tea with Emma again, we dined on Chinese this time and got a fair bit too much but just means I'll have some for lunch over the next few days.

Tuesday the 17th November

Early physio session today more testing of my legs and did some walking outside, I did some extra physio myself and then had a chat with the social worker for a bit about heading home and sorting out some paper work. Bit of bad luck, the machine that they use for my bladder test at RNS has broken down...so no test tomorrow. Had to stop taking one of the drugs that control bladder spasm for a few days prior to the test. Will be interesting to see if it makes any difference.

Monday 16th November

I did some work in the Gym myself today as I didn't have any physio untill the afternoon. In the physio session in the afternoon we did my final assessments for discharge. Similar to the test that I went through when I started here to gauge on how well I've imporved' there has been some which is good. Client ed was cancelled for the arvo so we headed up to the ex servicemans club up the road and had a few quiet beers with some friends.

Stu

My Last Weekend Leave.

Sunday 15th November

Pancakes on the back verandah with Helen T and Mum after their nights work.
Did a bit more sorting of my stuff with Dad.....Amy can get into her cupboard now. No room for the bed yet though.

Jess and Maggie took me to the airport, my last return flight.

Saturday 14th November

Another hot day predicted so Dad and I went into town early. Got a padded toilet seat and another child safe lock and hinges to make another entry into the pool yard so that I can avoid the awkward steps at the existing gate.
Spent the afternoon going through some of the boxes that Dad and Tristan packed when they cleared our flat. We were able to consolidate, and reduce the number of boxes.

BBQ tea at Ryan's, was just so good to see some of the guys from work. It will be great when I start back at work not to long now.

Friday 13th November.

3.30 flight, caught a cab as usual but he took me the long way again, I now have been 4 different ways to get to the airport. It was a good flight, played dodge the clouds for a while but we got there. Fun night at home with the folks, Jess and Maggie and some friends.

Final Driving lesson

Thursday 13th November

Physio session with Viv involved more testing of my leg strength and range of motion. This is done on admission to the unit and prior to discharge. It's all improved which I knew already but still it was nice to have it documented. I then had another go at getting up from the floor again. With a lot more success.

Eventually I want to be ablee to do it with only using one crutch and no other support but at the moment my legs are too week to be able to balance down that low.

Client ed today was a quick one but still very eye opening. We looked at some slides of pressure sores. They are caused by sitting on one particular point of your body for long periods, the blood flow stops to the skin and it starts to die. Once the skin has started to die its very hard for it to heal. They start out as red spots on your body. I check my skin every morning and night for them and if I find one I try to keep pressure off it until it's turned back to normal colour. Some sores are that bad that so much of the tissue has died that you can put your whole hand inside the wound, going all the way into the bone. These require surgery to repair and lots of bed rest keeping pressure off the area.

After the horrible pictures I headed out to play with my car for a bit whilst I waited for my Driving lesson. About 20 minutes in to the lesson Gavin pulled up in the car and asked if I wanted to DRIVE to Hornsby and back. How could I say no. He had to drop off a box to a mechanic who dose car modifications for handicapped people and he had a cancellation(the next lesson) so I was off!!! It was a good few hours drive which has got me over the line for my licence. Now Gavin will write a letter to the RTA and I will then receive one then back saying that I can now get my full licence back. Hopefully it will come next week.

When I got back Rob, Alison and I headed to Macquarie to watch a movie and have a feed. All in all it was a very busy and productive day.

Stu
Wednesday 11th November

I had a really early physio session with Steph as Vivian was doing a course today. We did one lap around the complex first, then decided to jump onto the tilt table. I got up to 40 degrees doing single leg presses on my weak leg which was hard to do but felt really good after I finished. We then hit the FES up and zapped my legs. I then went out the back and did some work on my RC car. I managed to break a few things again and it was a nice morning to just sit on the balcony and tinker with it. I then had a quick meeting with the social worker for a chat about heading home and sorting out the few things that I'll need.

I had my last hit of tennis too today which was a bit sad. I will be here for next week but I'm not sure if I'll be here for the tennis as I have a test on Wednesday. It's still been fun to have a hit and kept me occupied too.

My cousin Emma Powell then came at around 7 and we headed off to a really nice Thai restaurant just down the road. Emma had never been to Thai before so it was an experience for her. It was that good I think I will try to get there again before I leave next week.

One big week

Tuesday 10th November

Morning session with Vivian, did some leg work myself on the stairs myself. I then got onto the plinth and Vivian did some more muscle test for my discharge next week.

Driving again today, all going really well. One more lesson and Gary will send the paperwork to the RTA and then when it comes back I can go in and get my new licence. I just cannot wait, means so much and will give me back some independence. Just to get in the car and to go where I want, to my physio with Marcus, the pool and after a week or two at home maybe even to work.

Got my model car going again too which is a lot of fun, managing to get some speed out of it now. Just got my fingers crossed I don't break anything again soon.

Monday 9th November

I met Stuart in physio this morning and yes I took some photos!! He was on the plinth when I arrived with the FES on his right leg. He then did some exercises on the parallel bars. Standing on a stool on his left leg and lifting his right foot.

He followed this with some boxing, with his splint on his right leg and standing between the bars. Stuart did the hitting, great exercise for his balance and core strength.

Finished off the session by showing me how well he is doing going down and then back up the ramp out the back. Stuart was wearing his skins and felt that they were making a difference.

He then had a short meeting with Trish (OT), she had arranged for him to have an extra driving lesson later today. The four of us had lunch together in the rec room, Stuart and Jess had a game of pool. Stuart was the winner, Jess reckons she needs more practice???
At 1.30 we had our meeting with LTCS- Graham, Debbie his case manager and the Moorong team. Was a meeting to discuss Stuart's progress towards discharge on the 20th of November. Checking that all the equipment etc that he needs at home has been scripted and ordered, medications and catheter requirements. Also looking at his team when we get home, physio back with Marcus, a regular chemist and finding a GP and psychologist. Hopefully some temporary ramps will be installed before he comes home. If we are lucky the Marvel chair might have arrived before discharge as well so Stuart can trial it at home. All the equipment that Stuart needs and his ongoing treatments has to be approved by LTCS. The home modifications are still being processed by LTCS and we are hoping that we will manage at home as we are for the moment.

We left Stuart chatting to Billal out the front waiting for Gavin, the driving instructor.

Gavin and I headed around to homebush again today to check out where the new V8 Supercar race will be held, there are going to be some narrow straights on it. We didn't get as far as we would have liked though as the traffic was chaos. I'll only need one more lesson with Gavin and he will send the paper work off. It would have been nice to have my licence for this weekend but there is a bit of a delay with the RTA when it comes to paper work so it may have to wait until I get home for good. Still not far to go now.

Sunday 8th November

We had planned to have the day at Balmoral Beach but I'm afraid the weather as not kind.....overcast and drizzling ( a bit different to the weather in Wagga) So we packed our picnic and headed off the Macquarie Shopping Centre. It was huge, but quite easy to get around. Got a bit confused with the split levels which were connected by ramps. Easy for Stuart, especially when going down. He was able to use the lift when the going got a bit tough uphill. We had our picnic in the food court overlooking the ice rink. Great entertainment, the little kids were having so much fun and there were some very nervous older folk making their way around the ice. Am sure there will be a few bruises for some tomorrow!!!
We parted company with Amy and Dave who were heading back to the Gong.
Stuart went to Rebel sport to get his Skins. The entrance to the store was up 4 steps and the lift was out of order. Stuart was able to drag himself up with the handrail, a little harder to go down. If he was unable stand he would not have been able to get into the store. Stuart had a look at some binoculars and is now the proud owner of a pair, a late birthday present.
We found our way back to the car and with the help of Lee Garmin (GPS) made our way to Mosman to see Mary and Sid. They were amazed at Stuart's progress. We struggled to get up the front steps the first visit and he had a difficult time getting himself off the lounge. Did it easy today.
Tris and Meaghan joined us for tea at the Mosman Rowers, it was rather pleasant watching the ferries come and go. Emma Powell was waiting for us when we got back to Moorong, yet another full day.

Saturday 7th November

Jess, Maggie and I headed back down to Sydney, calling in on some friends at Orimbah for breakfast on the way through. We had not seem them for some time, was great to touch base.

Stuart had a weights session in the gym in the morning and we arrived after lunch. Got the keys and got ourselves settled into our rooms at the Village (on site accommodation for families at RRCS).

We had a game of catch with a tennis ball while waiting for the cab to take us into the city to meet Amy and made our way to the Aquarium. It was a return visit for Stuart and Maggie, but a first for the rest of us. We spent a couple of hours wandering around, even though there were lots of other folks about it was not to difficult to get around. Stuart found it OK, easier in the current chair. It was very peaceful in many ways, the fish I guess are quiet swimming around in their large and sometimes small fish tanks. The variety in size, shape and colour of the fish was just amazing. I was a little distressed as we left as I had managed to drop my new prescription sunglasses (in their case) in the Dugong tunnel. Alas they were nowhere to be seen when I went back.

We then made our way back into the CBD to met Dave off the train fro Woolongong before making our way back to Moorong for a home cooked meal of curried sausages, dal and rice. Stuart and Amy particularly enjoyed the meal. Stuart was rather tired when I took him back up the hill to bed.

Friday 6th November

Busy day for the 3 Human's in Newcastle. Started with some shopping for Maggie for her formal(shoes). Managed to get a meal at Rarj on Darby with Tom and then back to the Uni to finish packing up and cleaning Jess's room. We were well loaded by the time we left, lucky we weren't picking up Amy like this time last year.... there was no room in the Nissan.

I had a normal day today with physio Vivian and then I did some upper body weights myself until lunch time. After lunch I had a nap for a while before heading to the Bowling club for Alans farewell as he leaves on Saturday morning for home. Rob, Al and I rolled down at around 3 in the afternoon. It was a bloody good afternoon for it. It felt kinda normal to just sit and have a quite drink with a few friends. I can't wait to do that back at home. I was lucky enough to win a meat raffle too which was good and bad. On the way home with the meat tray on my lap I had to negotiate a steep gutter which I failed terribly. Tray and I both ended up on the deck. Alans first worry was for the meat which was also my first worry. I managed to get back into the chair rather easily and we were on our way again. Rather funny though, but not bad for only my second fall in 5 months.

Thursday 5th November

Maggie and I headed to Newcastle this morning. A big adventure for the two of us, Maggie had her first drive on the Hume highway with her L's and did very well. We arrived in time to meet Jess at Evatt House (her digs at Uni) and take a load of her gear back to the Powell's for the Xmas break.

I had a morning pool session with Vivian. The strength in my legs is improving so much. I was not able to cycle the left leg back and forth in the water, but it did get tired very quickly. I did a few squats and calf raisers after the cycling. I then headed back upstairs for a shower.

After lunch I had another driving lesson with Gavin, Today he decided to go on a nice long trip so we headed off to Mascot airport via Sydney's inner west. We ended up getting a coffee at McDonalds, which was to practice my slow speed handling... and then cruized around to the control tower to watch a few planes take off. The mound where you park also gave me a chance to practice some more slow speed rough terrain driving too.

After we sat for a few minutes we headed off. Gavin chose to take me home via the city, down the eastern distributor, over the Harbour Bridge and Lane cove tunnel then back to the Hospital. This was the longest drive I've done so far and it felt good to be in a car. People look in the window and they don't know that when I get out I'll be pulling a chair out too.

Walked all morning

Wednesday 5 November
I had a morning session with Kevin who fits the legs splints and orthotics. We came to the conclusion that we remove the heal raiser as it was affecting my spasms more than it was helping. He also tried something new, using a binder, a 6 inch wide band of elastic which you wrap around your waist. He wrapped it around my hips and bum, giving me feedback on what my legs are doing. It improved my balance 10 fold!!! I could stand without holding onto anything, even wave my arms around and rock from one leg to the other. I even managed to walk down the parallel bars using only one hand for support. He said you can get special bike shorts made which would work better but the binder will do the trick in the meantime. After my session with Kevin I decided to try and stay up until lunch time, which I managed to do. This is the longest that I've ever been standing and walking.
After lunch Viv had organised to go and have a gym session with Gary Foley. He trains a lot of high profile disabled athletes. He first got me onto the seated row and then said I should give rowing a go because of my long arms. Then we moved on to the hand cycle and after a while he asked if I wanted to come down one Monday evening and give one a go around a track. I then did some boxing which really gets your heart and lungs going. It's also a great core body workout. Gary is also just starting out track and road cycling so we had a lot in common to talk about there. Hopefully I'll be able to get back there once more before I head home to Wagga.
They have given me an official date to come home now too. The 20th of November has been penned. It's good to have an actual date you can work with. Not long now!

Hot as hell!

Tuesday 3rd November
Had a meeting with the Psychologist this morning and it was nice to sit down a have a chat, she showed me a few problem solving skills which I can use. Spent the rest of the morning unpacking my bags from the weekend at home and doing some washing. I then went and got a wheelchair scripted. I'm getting this one done so if I decided to go that one I can just say yes and it will be made and delivered to my door in 4 weeks. I also got told that the chair I really want to give a go of has been ordered today and should be here in 3 weeks, hopfully before I leave for Wagga. If not I'll have to come back to Sydney to get it for a trial.
In my physio session I did some leg work on the tilt table. First doing some squats, following by some heal raises. It's amazing how well the right leg is coming along. Viv wanted to stimulate it with the electrodes, on my shin muscles that lift you foot up with my leg out straight today, normaly I would do it with my knee bent slightly. After using the FES I was actually able to raise my foot ever so slightly whith my knee at 90 degrees. I've not been able to do this yet so it was a great releif to see it move, even if it was just a few milimeters. We are off to Gary Foleys tomorrow which is a gym where some big name paraolympians train, will be interesting. Not sure what to expect but it will still be exciting.
I managed to do some walking in the afternoon but it was short lived, the hot weather I had whilst I was back in Wagga has seemed to follow me back to Sydney. I started to get head spins and had to sit down after a short walk.

A new week

Monday 2nd November
I'm lucky that I get early starts, I'll explain in a bit. Wheeled off to physio with Viv as I didn't do that much walking on the weekend my knee got a chance to recover. I managed to do another lap around the center, this time though I was just shy of a slow walking pace which was nice. But I still did tire rather quickly, I'll have to work on the stamina. I then did some work on the plynth with my hip flexors and then rolled onto my belly and put the FES my right hamstrings for half an hour. Viv also said that I could head to Ryde swimming pool and use the facilities there if like. I might check it out sometime this week. I then had OT with Trish, I don't need much physical OT work done anymore so we sat down and tried to nut out a few things like getting some ramps for home for my next tip back. Also we organised my driving lessons for the next few weeks. I should have them all knocked over in 3 weeks.
Just before lunch the new parts for my Remote control car showed up, so I spent the afternoon adding the new shiny parts to my car. Which is why I like the early physio sessions. I got it finished just in time to head to client ed where this lesson was on bowel care, I learnt a few things that will really help me. Rob and I then headed outside to give my car a run. Wow its fast! Also good to pass the time here, I'm sure I'll break something on it again soon so which will keep me busy. Rob and I got some pizza for dinner, I'm starting to get a bit over the same food every week.

I would also like to thank everyone who went to the morning tea out at the Department of Ag today. Together everyone raised $1500 towards my automatic car, which was way more than I ever expected! Again thankyou for your support.

Another Weekend in Wagga Wagga

Sunday 1st November
Home for pancakes with the family and cousins. Was still feeling a bit of colour and only managed 3 pancakes. And then retired to the couch again for some more sleep, just felt out of sorts. Did nothing much for the rest of the morning and were off to the airport by 12.30 for my flight back. Good flight, entertaining cabbie for my ride back to Moorong. Had my tea, chatted to the folks and hit the hay.....ready for another week of rehab.

Saturday 31st October
Not feeling so flash today, tummy a bit upset and some diarrhoea. Not much fun when you cannot just jump onto the toilet and I still do not have full control of my bowels. Had a couple of little accidents.
Dad collected me from town and after a little lunch I crashed for about 3 hours, have not slept like that of an afternoon for ages. Helped Dad look at the air conditioner pump, might need some outside help to fix the bearings I think.
Uncle Andrew, Leanne and the girls came for tea, was good to see them. Dad and I then went into town, called into Calvary to collect some things and say hello to the girls. They thought it was great to see me walking with the crutches. Linda thinks I should be eating more musk sticks!!! Might put on some weight.

Flying with Rex again.

Friday the 30th October.
I had a physio session in the morning but my knee was still playing up so it was limited to doing a few non weight bearing activities and stimulating my leg with the electronic machine. I then went to pack my bags for the trip home. Caught a taxi to the airport, gets easier each time I now transfer into the front seat instead of using the wheelchair accessible bit at the back. My trial chair rolls so well on the smooth floors of the terminal. Lucky I am traveling alone as anyone walking with me would never keep up. Had an OK flight, we played dodge the storms though so I got my moneys worth as there were some amazing thunderstorms over Canberra.
Spent an hour or so catching up with the afternoon shift in the hanger at work(Rex). Will be great when I get home, have my licence and can work a couple of days each week. The boys seem to think there will be plenty of jobs for me to do.
Dad and I got home in time for us to have tea with Mum and Maggie. Mum was working tonight and keen a rest before starting at 10.30pm. Dad gave me a good stretch and we had a quiet evening before I went to meet up with Alex.

Thursday 29th October

Not much happened this Thursday, knee was still playing silly buggers so it was a quick walk with Viv outside down the ramps and then back up again for some stretching and leg work. In the arvo I had Client Ed which is ran twice a week. They are like little chit chats with the nurses to educate you on how your body works after a spinal cord injury. This week it was on bladder management, they are good to go as you learn little tricks to make everything a bit easier when you are out in the big bad world.
