Physio in Wagga Wagga

Monday 7th September
Stuart and I had breakfast together, my workmate ordered some for me as well. We then made our way down to Marcus's physio practice for Stuart's first session in Wagga Wagga. The session started chat about Stuart's injury, treatment and discussing what he had been doing with the physio team at RNS. Marcus then got Stuart to stand without using his hands/arms to pull himself into an upright position with a four wheel walker in front. It was a bit scary at first, trying to get his balance by leaning forward and pushing up. He then did some stretching and exercises and had another attempt, which was brilliant and much more fluid than the first few goes.

Second go at standing.

Finished of with some work on his right leg with the electrical stimulation machine, I'm not sure on what it is called. We rolled back to Calvary along Docker St to see which way it would be easiest for Stuart to get to the hydrotherapy pool at WWBH, and then it was coffee time. We were a little disappointed in our coffee, but will get another person on the machine next time. I then headed home for a sleep.

Stuart and Alex collected Maggie from school as Stuart was on kitchen duty at home. He was going to make his chicken curry. We brought a lower table into the kitchen for chopping on and he set to work.

Between us we created a lovely meal to celebrate Alex's 21st. Maggie did a grand job with the cake and Ros took the photos. We had a fun evening. Would have been great to have Amy and Jess with us, will just have to do it again when they get home on Uni hols

Sunday 6th September
Stuart had a good night, slept well and very happy with his new accommodation. A lot quieter than 7D, RNS. Naturally he got excellent care from his mother, your truly who was on duty overnight.
Has his own bathroom and managed his morning care easily with the toilet gel seat that we had purchased.
Alex picked him up mid-morning and they did some shopping(for fathers day) and then home to Kauri Pl for lunch with Iain and Maggie.
Spent the remainder of the afternoon out catching up with friends and returned to St Annes East(SAE) for his evening meal.
