The road trip home.

Saturday 21st November
We had packed as much of Stuart's gear into the car yesterday, so there was not to much to do. We did still have a lot of gear, shower stools, padded toilet seat, the remote control car and it's bits, the Tool Box, etc etc. We were beginning to wonder if and where we would fit our Amy and her stuff. Stuart then did a roll around to say good bye to those he had made friends with over the last 6 months at RNS and Moorong. It was tough saying farewell to some of them, they have all had such different journeys and have shared so much along the way. The highs and the lows.

We hit the road at about 9.30 and took the scenic route along the coast through the National Park to the "Gong". It was just beautiful, never seen so many black boys and grasses along the road side. Were at the Uni to collect Amy and her bits by 11.30. With some very careful packing and organizing we got most of the gear into the car. Only had to leave a few bits behind. And luckily she was able to store her frig, cooking equipment and bedding with some friends.

After Amy said her farewells we went and had lunch with Tom and Marg Dawson before hitting the road. We had an uneventful drive home and sat down to dinner with Maggie and Jess by 8pm. Was just good to be home and have the troops altogether. The next stage of Stuart's journey is about to begin.
