Up and about early at Kauri Pl to get ready for our trip to Sydney.
Alex called up to say good bye and the girls came too. They were able to take home some gear that was not going to make the trip to Sydney with Stuart. Took a while to get everything together, his gear , notes etc and to say good-bye. Needed a large dressing trolley to get everything down to the car, anymore stuff and we would have had to swap cars and come up in the Nisson.
Was hard for Stuart saying farewell to Sue and Luke, we have been on a journey together and again will be separated by distance.
We were on the road by 11.10 and in Yass for lunch, I have never seen the service centre so busy. We seemed to be the only folks eating a packed lunch.
The journey got a bit wild after that , we drove through 3 hailstorms and some very heavy rain. Needless to say the traffic heavy and slow at times. We had an ice cream stop at Pheasants Nest and were at the motel in Ryde about 5.30. Stuart travelled really well, had a good stretch on the bed after we arrived.
We found a pizza shop, had some takeaway and are going to try and watch the cricket from Sth Africa, if we can stay awake. Aussie Aussie Aussie.
