Walking the parallel line.

I was up bright and early this morning, almost excited about what lay ahead. Out of bed waiting for Dad. He was getting his hair cut and was going to arrive after 11 so I headed around to physio and met him there. He was very interested in the standing chair which I'm trialing for a few days and I'm liking it a lot. To be able to stand and have a conversation with someone at their level has such and amazing effect on your well being. Plus it has many medical benefits by changing your position and relieving pressure on your backside by standing. It will be a shame to see it go.
Managed 3 laps along the parallel bars, with Dad taking a video. Have a brace on the right leg and boy is it hard work.

Return (muscle movement) is slowly coming in the right leg and Damo got me to do some "clenching" exercises on the tilt table as well.
I spent the afternoon session doing floor to chair transfers. It is as hard going down as it is lifting up. I also managed a few 47cm vertical lifts from one plinth to the other. Gives the upper body a workout and the legs a bit of a rest.

  1. Wow Stu. That is video is amazing. And the lifts too. Just got out a measuring tape - 47cms is a huge lift. What other party tricks are you perfecting?
